Review: Trader Joe’s Meatless Meatballs

For this meatless friday, we give you the best meatless meat deal on the planet: a bigass sack of TJ’s soyballs for under five bucks. Do they taste like real meatballs? Not quite. But they have the texture just right – chewy yet delicate – and they look damn good in the sauce. They come a bit underseasoned, so you can add whatever spices feel right. You might be looking for a more detailed review, but there isn’t one. If you like meatballs, but don’t want to eat meat, buy these. You won’t be disappointed.

  1. I can’t beleive you’d review a meatless product. Has PETA finally gotten to you, too?

  2. Nicole Berckes Says:

I LOVE these things. My freezer usually has three bags at a time. And I love bacon, too. Wow, these with some bacon…would probably blow my mind.

  3. My wife just picked up a bag of these for us yesterday – I’m looking forward to testing them out.

  4. a bit of veg. oil, fry up these meatballs. Add a touch of pepper.
they’re perfect as is to me, being raised on Norwegian Meatballs, which are mild, med size and delicious. Just like these! T.J. Meatless Meatballs. Can’t have enough in the freezer. I like them browned in a bit of oil real fast, along w/ small amount of fried onions (do them apart so use less veg oil.) These meatballs are ready FAST. so don’t wait long. your tongue will NOT know the difference, but the animals will. thank you!
